Ritz Carlton on MauiThe Ritz Carlton on Maui offered us the best of the best! I have never been treated so well. The beds were comfortable, the service was wondrful, the people went above and beyond. The food was Fantastic. We had a wonderful time and the staff at the hotel helped to exceed our expectations. I recommend this hotel with all my heart. We will be returning to stay there again.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayI suggest staying at the Ritz Carlon when on Maui, they know eveything and every where - what to see - what to do and they will set it all up for you as well!Rating:5
A perfect place for a vacationIts overall an excellent hotel with nice rooms, very friendly staff and a large and beautiful tropical garden. On-site restaurants are expensive. However a few nice restaurants are close by. Our favorite is Sansei, a Japanese restaurant within walking distance - dishes are delicious and yet prices are very reasonable.Rating:5
Vacation StayGreat place quiet and relaxing, great view.Rating:5
Great HotelThe hotel was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very nice. We loved the pools and pool side service staff. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The only downside is the beach is a little bit of a walk from the hotel, but we spent most of our time at the pool.Rating:5
Paradise Found! This five diamond resort exceeded our expectations. The staff was very personable and eager to accommodate our needs. The room and grounds exuded the beauty and class one would expect from the Ritz. If you are looking for first class...look no further! We will be back!Rating:5
nicest place everThis hotel is like paradise, clean, quiet, immaculate green lawn and gardens and last of all the best private neach in Hawaii so far This hotel is on the high end of Hawaii.Better than Wailea ,so bring a lot of moolah if your planning to stay for more than a weekRating:5
True 5 Stars HotelVery quiet, pleasant and comfortable. I understand why this is the only 5 stars hotel in Hawaii.
Travelers tip on recreational activitiesFor people who love to surf & turf, its the best place on the earth.Rating:5
Awesome location! We loved the hotel and the location. If you like sleeping with the windows open I would not sleep in the rooms overlooking the golf course because every morning around 4:30 / 5:00 the gardners cut the grass with very loud machines!
Travelers tip on diningIf you like sushi Sensei is the best and is walking distance from the hotel!Rating:5
Loved it!!!We were in the residential suite at the hotel since expedia was having a sale at the time I booked. It was absolutely gorgeous. We were on the first floor and could walk right out onto the property. I liked staying where the living room and bedroom are separate, they even have separate air conditioning controls for each room. I would definitely stay here again. We love the kapalua area with the cook pine trees. It is windy though and one day the surf was too rough to go into the beach. We just went elsewhere that day.Rating:5
Paradise, indeedThe Ritz Carlton Kapalua exceeded my every expectation. Pictures online dont do the rooms justice and the overall facility is extremely well kept. The staff was very courteous, helpful and friendly. The pool area is simply amazing and the beach, although somewhat small, is nice to get away to, also. All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay in Maui. It is in a great proximity to Lahaina, yet isolated enough to be extremel relaxing and romantic. I highly recommend getting a Jeep for your trip, especially if you plan on getting around to do a lot of the touristy type of stuff.
Travelers tip on nightlifeThe Maui Brewing Company (a sports bar) just south of Kapalua, in a strip mall on the way to Lahaina, is a fantastic little place to stop and try some local microbrews at a very reasonable price. Nice atmosphere, and the food isnt too bad, either.Rating:5
Very pleasant stayWe had stayed there before the renovations. Its been nicely updated and still has a turn of the century charm to it. Pricey, but worth it
Travelers tip on local attractionsFun to go to LahainaRating:5
Absolute Perfection! Location, Service, Restaurants and Property *****This was our first time to Maui. The Island is gorgeous and the Ritz Carlton has the best part of it. Kapalua was like Heaven on Earth. Tall majestic pines lining the hills, private cove and perfect beach. Away from all of the noise and crowds in Lahaina. We stay in 5 star hotels regularly and this is by far one of the most friendly and enjoyable that i can remember. Thank You Ritz Carlton!Rating:5
Beautiful!!I would recommend this hotel. Great service, beautiful hotel grounds and surroundings and friendly staff that makes you feel so welcome.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayI suggest renting a car!Rating:5
Fantastic LocationThe Ritz is in a great location. It is luxurious, isolated, and beautiful! It is still close to the shopping and restaurants of Lahina and Kaanapali (20min drive max to Lahina). The sunsets are great from the Ritz, but for an even more breathtaking view stop over at Black Rock for a drink and watch the sunset from the beach. If you like to snorkel there are two fantastic spots very close by. Do not believe what you hear about the gray and misty weather in late July early Aug, it was great. If/when you get a misty morning drive over to Lihina for breakfast and shopping. Lahina is the driest place on Maui. I cannot wait to go back! Best vaca in 10years!Rating:4

Will go back one dayWe went on an internet special and was very happy with our stay. It was our anniversary and they upgraded our room at the front desk. Service was excellent. Also liked the location--farther away from busy Kaanapali area.
Travelers tip on diningFood was expensive and selection minimal at hotel. We ate dinner at Hula Grill at Whalers Village in Kaanapali and Honolulu Surf Company store in Kapalua which has a deli.Rating:5
Wonderful Service...The staff was very attentive... the rooms were wonderful... beautiful beach just footsteps away... very highly recommended.Rating:5
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME IN MAUI AND MY FIRST TIME EVER STAYING IN ANY RITZ CARLTON HOTEL AND THIS WAS THE BEST TRIP OF MY LIFE!!!! THE HOTEL INDOORS AND OUTDOORS WAS AMAZING!!! Unbelievable ExperienceMy wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary and couldnt have picked a better place. We had never been to Maui, and Im fine with staying at the Ritz every time we go back. The service, cleanliness, and friendliness are impeccable. The grounds are immaculate. We especially loved how Kapalua is secluded on the NW area of the island, past the hustle and bustle of the more southern and central areas. The Honoloa store on the grounds is a little gem, complete with groceries, a deli, and general store. As far as the beaches, there are 3 within walking distance, each with its own identity - DT Fleming (mostly resort guests, good swimming beach), Onaloa (surfing, many locals), and Kapalua Bay (great for snorkeling). And free shuttles are available for anywhere around Kapalua. Whenever we ventured out for things like Lahaina or the Road to Hana, we were always happy to get "back home" to Kapalua and the Ritz. Cant wait to get back!
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksI believe all the rooms have a fridge, so hit the Safeway in Lahaina to save on food costs. We got things like cereal, sandwich meats, snacks, etc. Also a good idea to get some beer and spirits if you are so inclined.Rating:5
Relax & EnjoyWe stayed for 8 nights in a club level room to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and 50th birthday. We mainly stayed at the hotel and relaxed. The pictures on expedia are "exactly" a representation of this hotel. Enjoyed the food and beverage presentations throughout the day. Every staff member was "wonderfull". Also did a few SPA sessions that were great. The pool and beach bars were also great. Our balconey had great views of the ocean and pool areas. A big thanks to Franklin at the bar...... you know why.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayClub level is the way to go if you spend a lot of time at the hotel.Rating:5
Would definiftely go backThe hotel is exactly what the Ritz is all about. The room was immaculate (we had a ocean residential suite)and the staff was so pleasant. The only complaint we had was the amount of time we had to hold the line for information (usually with the Ritz you never wait longer than a few seconds for someone to help you....we held once for 5 minutes, a really, really, long wait for Ritz standards). This is really the ONLY thing we could complain about. If you book this hotel you will not be dissatisfied...it is absolutely beautiful and VERY, VERY, VERY clean. This Ritz property will not disappoint and is worth every penny. We cannot wait to go back!
Travelers tip on recreational activitiesThere is a really neat hiking trail on the other side of the golf course....but bring your snorkel gear because at the end of the trail you will dead-end to a cove where you can find the locals cliff jumping and snorkeling.Rating:5
paradiseeverything was right at your finger tips, everyone was so courteous,it was a vacation of a life time!!!!
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your staytry to get an overview of everything before you go. a lot of times its lot cheaper to book on line and easier to know what you are going to do before you get there!Rating:5
Cant wait to go back!Beautiful resort and hotel.
