Will stay here againI had never been to Boston and therefore had no idea where to stay. I found the Eliot listed in a travel book as a great place to stay for a romantic getaway. My husband and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary so the description appealed to me. The Eliot is an adorable hotel - very quiet, which was surprising since it is located on a busy street - great size rooms - and in the perfect location for a stay in Boston. We walked to a Red Sox game and the bus line and subway station is one block away. The turn down service was a nice touch and made me feel welcome and very comfortable. I would stay here again for sure the next time Im in Boston.Rating:3
Good but not greatGood location. Nicely decorated rooms. Helpful staff. Room was very noisy. The buffet breakfast offered for $20 ($10 with a coupon) was terrible (granny smith apples, bagels but no toaster, pedestrian cereal and stiff croissants). The coffee tasted weak / watered down. This was surprising for such a nice hotel and award winning restaurant. A lot of restaurant options and coffee shops nearby.Rating:5
Excellent, only one but.......The hotel is marvelous, very good service and great location, my room was very confortable, but the only thing i did not like, is that the bathroom is too small, you have very nice suites with a lot of room, but a cheap bathroom. We were staying at suite 201.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayBoston is a wonderfull city, very nice shops, great restaurants in all kind of prices, lots of activities, young and good looking people, must visit Harvard and MIT, Newberry St, Quincy Market....Rating:5
Great boutique hotelPerfect location, European atmosphere, quality service
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayClose to so much in Boston.Rating:5
Would definitely stay here againThe Eliot Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Boston. Everyone on the staff was friendly, polite and very helpful. We had a one bedroom suite which was lovely and very comfortable. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night! Great location - right around the corner from Newbury Street. Loved this hotel!Rating:3
Party in Next room till 3:3- AMEverything was very good. But the party in the next room went on till 3:30 AM. It was just too much.Rating:5
The Eliot Suite HotelGreat location -- few blocks from Fenway Park.Stayed in one of the suites, It was clean & comfortable. Would stay there again.Rating:4
A good experienceGreat location. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, Fenway, and University of Boston. We would definitely stay here again.Rating:5
Excellent hotelI travelled in Boston with my husband and son, and we enjoyed very much the journey with accomodation at the Eliot Suite Hotel. The location of the hotel was fine for sightseers.
Travelers tip on local attractionsWe started our trip in Boston with walking through The Freedom Trail all along during the first day, which was marvelous and most beneficial for orientating in the city.Rating:5
FantasticBig suites, great location and service.Rating:5
Hotel EliotLoved it! Room very spacious and comfortable. Very charming. Definitely will stay again and will recommend to others!Rating:5
Great boutique hotel for families! We found this hotel very comfortable and attentive to our needs as a family travelling with a 1 year old and our 16 yr old niece. The hotel had the pack nplay all set up for us and a bath set - toys and wash - for the infant. The sofa bed was a great option for the teenager. The location in Back Bay, a couple of blocks from Kenmore Square and a block from Newbury St. was also great.Rating:5
Great service. The service was excellent and the room was very clean and comfortable.Rating:5
Cant wait to go backCant wait to go backRating:3
Outstanding StaffThe staff at this hotel (and in the restaurants) could not have been nicer or more helpful. This hotel is not what Id consider a full service hotel but much more like a Boutique Hotel. We checked into a room which claimed to be non-smoking....and you could smell the smoke from the hallway. The staff was able to move us. 2 more complaints....1) my room was not vacuumed...there were m&ms all over the floor (the entire time...despite my request to housekeeping) and 2) there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom almost as if it were coming from above (we were on the bottom floor).
Travelers tip on diningDont eat at the burger place across the street. We have take out one night and had to throw the entire meal away.Rating:5
Central to everything...Spent 5 nights at the Eliot with my two older kids over the 4th of July holiday. I found the suites the perfect choice with two twin beds and the sofabed. Housekeeping was wonderful. Location is easy walking distance to Fenway, Charles River, Commons and many downtown restaurants and shops. Perfect location to see everything
Travelers tip on local attractionsThe DUCK tour and the Walking History tour are largely redundant. I would take the history tour unless you really want to get your feet wet. Prudential Centre, easy walking distance has every shop and food imaginable.Rating:5
Outstanding!!Eliot Suite was great!! Very friendly and helpful staff, good location to most things, a bit far from downtown but really close to subway, great restaurants and good shopping. Room was a suite and very comfortable.Rating:5
Very ImpressedIt was a beautiful hotel, short walk to Fenway, and several attractions. The bed was extemely comfortable and I would definately stay at The Eliot again.Rating:4
Good location to Fenway ParkThe room was nice and clean however the bathroom was very small and the hair dryer was very outdated and I didnt feel it was safe. The bed was a double at most but comfy. The "living room" was very nice, staff was very courteous and the location to Fenway Park was good. Would recommend.Rating:5
First Class!Friendly staff and all the comforts you would want. We have visited a number of hotels in Boston, over the years, but the Eliot is now the ONLY hotel we will call home when we are in the city.
Travelers tip on local attractionsThe Eliot is located just a block away from Newbury Street and there are plenty of excellent places to eat, within walking distance. It is a also just a $10 cab ride from anywhere in the city.Rating:4
Most comfortable bed everI have stayed at Four seasons and Ritz Carltons, as well as other luxury hotels (Shutters and Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica) and this was by far the most comfortable bed ever. The room was really 2 rooms, a bedroom with a king bed and a living room. The pull-out couch in the living room area was super comfortable. There was a foyer, bathroom and wet bar with mini-bar area. They even left a bag of jelly beans for us. The location is great for anywhere you want to go in Boston too. It is right across the street from the Hines Auditorium stop on the T. Also, right across the street is the lovely Newbury St., which is nice to walk down, and you can get something to eat which is cheaper than the restaurant in the hotel. The only negative was that valet parking was $36 dollars a day and added $72 to our bill.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksDont bother with breakfast in the hotel. Its expensive. You can walk down Newbury St. or down Mass. Ave. and find a cheaper place for breakfast.Rating:5
European styleWell located small hotel with high level of personal service. One of Bostons signature restaurants is in the building. This is really not a "kid" oriented hotel.Rating:5
Beautiful HotelThis was an amazing hotel, everything from the service to the room...We walked in and they upgraded us to the deluxe suite right away, the lobby was so nice, and so were the staff, the room was great.we were on the first floor and didnt have a good view though, all we saw was the back alley...other then the outside view, this is a hotel i will stay at again.Rating:5
Very Comfortable PropertyI would definitely go Back to The Eliot when visiting Boston in the futureRating:5
great hotelWe stay in Boston about 3 to 4 times a year. This is the best place we have stayed. It is an older hotel with lots of character, with great service and a great location. The suites have a bedroom, living area and a bar area.
Travelers tip on local attractionsThis is very close to Newbury Street where there are many resturants and shopping. T stop one block away.
