excellenthotel staff were great, the beds were soft and the room was very clean.Rating:5
Will use them again!!The Phoenix Inn & Suites in Albany was great! Great access to the freeway, very, very close to our destination but you did not hear any traffic noise at all! The rooms are huge! Bed was very comfy. The suite was separated by a half-wall behind which was a "living room" area with full sofa, coffee table, & desk with Internet access & phone. Also, coffeemaker, bar sink, and small refrigerator. You could actually live in the room if you had to! We will definitely use this motel again!Rating:4
Nice Hotel - next to I-5, easy to access other placesThe hotel has a good location, next to I-5. It is a decent value. I would recommend it to other people. I stayed there 4 days in August 2009. The room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly.Rating:5
Very GoodVery nice motel, good breakfast and wonderfully soft beds!!Rating:5
Beats the Competition! Its refreshing to visit a hotel that is genuinely interested in making your stay comfortable and convenient. In this particular visit, the price was reduced for summer travel, and competed with the lowliest accommodations in town! Wow!!Rating:4
I would difinitely go back, if We return to OregonThe hotel was very clean and the lobby was very elegant and cozy. The empolyees were always very helpful, and wanting to please us. The front desk was also curtious and friendly. The room was very spacious, and comfortable. (The only little disappointment was, we had an emergency come up and had to leave a day early and the assistant manager at the front desk did not want to refund that night stay, even having expedia on the line giving us the refund only if the Manager at the hotel would approve it? So, thats the only flaw, The hotel Manager as well as the assistant manager should realize that when there is an emergency, they should be a little more considerate.?Rating:5
Albanys bestI go to Albany every June for a week. I will stay here every time from now on. Great service and very clean!Rating:5
Very nice hotelReally enjoyed our stay. The hotel was great and room very nice and clean. Personnel/staff very nice and accommodating. Wouldnt blink an eye to stay there again.Rating:5
Will use againFriendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Good free breakfast. Dennys across the street.Rating:5
Very nice.Except for the unsightly "Adult Shop" right next door, the hotel was beautiful and clean. The facilities (pool, spa, excercise room, etc) were excellent and the breakfast was above average. I would absolutely stay here again.Rating:4
Above average, but not by muchNice hotel. Nicely appointed and good bed. The TV left much to be desired. Also, it was in the 90s when I checked in, and the room was hot when I entered. It took until well into the evening until the room cooled with the AC on max. The AC kept shutting off, even on max. I would have to get up and turn it back on. This was annoying. Also, the highly touted breakfast was no big deal. I happened to go to a colleagues hotel in town for their breakfast and it was better; with eggs, sausage and bacon, and he paid less for his room. My hotel was nice, clean and with good bed, but ultimately not worth the premium price.Rating:4
No surprisesDont let the proximity to the freeway or the nearby adult store phase you, the hotel was clean and quiet - ideal for business travel with a large room and desk, as well as a couple of meeting rooms. Good value and a nice touch to have coffee available throughout the day, not just at breakfast.
Travelers tip on diningFind the local Hungarian restaurant - ask around, it is definitely worth it.Rating:5
clean great stayEnjoyed and would definetly recommend...Rating:5
Albany Phoenix InnThe lobby is nice decorated in modern furniture and Ansel Adams pictures. Very nice atmosphere. We stayed in a King non-smoking room, they had us sign a form stating we would not smoke in the room. Which I didnt mind since Im allergic to smoke. The room itself was very spacious. I like having the vanity outside of the restroom because when two people are trying to shower and get ready theres plenty of room and no sharing of the restroom is needed. The bed was very comfy and I liked the comfy bedding. On the other side of the bed there was a half wall and that held a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and counter. This was fabulous! Then there was a sitting area next to that. Now lets talk continental breakfast! The breakfast was fabulous! There was the assortment of breads for toast. Muffins and pastries. Fresh fruit and canned peaches and pears. Then theres the good stuff. Biscuits and gravy very delicious! Then tortillas and scrambled eggs and picante sauce! We made our own little breakfast tacos! Also, there was a waffle maker!! Sugar free and regular syrups, powder sugar, cinnamon... so delicious! Then they had 2-3 different kinds of juices to choose from and coffee and tea. The staff was pleasant and kept the food coming. The Phoenix Inn is reasonably priced, and you get a lot of room for your money. One negative thing. In the parking lot of the hotel there is a big 24 hour Adult Shop. Not the best view, but it didnt bother us at all.
Travelers tip on diningThere isnt a restaurant onsite, but Dennys is located across the street and delivers, I believe it is open 24 hours. They have a sports bar inside, but we never ventured over there. Also, Abbys pizza down the road, is delicious!Rating:5
Very NiceI was surprised how nice the hotel was. I usually stay at National chains. I highly recommend the hotel.
