Very NiceOverall this was a nice, clean hotel. The folks at the front desk were very accommodating. My only complaint is that there were people upstairs who were awake and talking (loudly) all night long. Thats Vegas, I guess.Rating:5
It was a great hotel! We were surprised how nice hotel you can get in this price category: the receptionist was friendly, we got a booklet of vouchers from him to one of the local Casinos, the room was not noisy as we expected reading other reviews. We used also some discount, which expedia was offering, so our stay was a good deal. We also took advantage of the free wireless internet, and the free long distance calls. The very few areas to grow would be: the breakfast was fine, but I wish they would offer it later than 9.30 am, if you gamble during the night, this is early. Also we found some clothes of another costumer in the drawer, which was a bit surprising. Also, since it was our first time in Vegas, we did not realize, how far the hotel is from the Strip, we need to use the car to get to the city, which meant, one of us could not drink. These are all minor things, we were overally very happy with our stay here. The pool is small, but opened for 24 hours, if feel like jumping in before / after a long day.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksFree shows are great (there are 4 in Vegas), but if you want to watch some with pricey tickets, go look around the agencies (and location of the show itself!) a few hours before they start to get even a 50% discount. It worked for us!Rating:4
Very CleanClean room and good rate for Saturday nightRating:4
Comfort at a Great Price !!!!!!!!Great price and better that I expected! I was unsure of what to expect due to the cheap price , the hotel was nice , clean & quiet just about a 10 min drive from the strip . Staff was curtious and friendly.... The perfect hotel for someone with a car in Vegas.... P.S : Great hotel if your traveling with children.
Travelers tipThe best / fastest way to get to the strip with out chatching traffic is by using streets that run parallel to Las Vegas Blvd... If you plan to travel the strip alot you definetly need a car!!!!Rating:5
Pleasantly SuprisedI was pleasantly suprised at the newness, comfort and quality of the hotel for the price we paid. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a 4 star hotel at a 2 star price. The rooms/beds were excellent and the free breakfast provided was perfect! It is a short distance to the Vegas strip. The only drawback was its proximity to a crazy nightclub, but it was a very safe hotel as well.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksGreat deal for a low priceRating:5
Satisfied our needs excellentlyMy mother and I went to Las Vegas to pick up my new baby daughter (adoption). The hotel suited our needs with the fridge, microwave, breakfast, comfortable breakfast area, laundry, and outdoor dining area. We liked being close to the Strip but not on top of it. Tom at the front desk and everyone who works and manages at Microtel were kind, helpful, and pleasant. Thank you!Rating:5
Microtel reviewMy husband stayed at Microtel for our anniversary weekend. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the hotel had only been opend for about a year and a half, it looked and felt like it had just opened. Our room was very comfortable, clean, roomy and with the 42" plasma tv it was like being at home. The bed was extremely comfortable and like sleeping on my own bed at home. The complementary breakfast was perfect with hot and cold food as well as coffee, juice and milk. We truly enjoyed our stay and we look forward to our next stay.Rating:5
Off the beaten pathWe were at Microtel, Las Vegas, to meet up with our Elderhostel tour the next day. It was very nice. We had a "suite" with sitting room, and all amenities for a great "Expedia" price! We didnt have a car so walked through an indoor mall to catch the bus to the strip for $3.00. The Deuce bus was fun and we didnt mind the walk.
Travelers tipIf you are returning on the bus, make certain you get off at the Outlet Mall and not the first mall you come to.Rating:5
Yet another nice stayIve stayed at the Microtel repeated for a reason. Inexpensive rates, especially considering free breakfast, free internet, free long distance, fridge and microwave, pleasant staff, good location only a few blocks south from the airport, and one block off the south end of Las Vegas Blvd, making quick access to anywhere you want to go.Rating:5
Nice place!I really liked the free breakfast. I got to choose from breakfast potatoes, pancakes, sausage patties, bagels, muffins, several types of cereal. There was milk, coffee, apple juice and some other type of juice, tea bags. Lots of condiments like butter, ketchup, jam, syrup etc. We had the pool to ourselves at 2am. Can get a pool towel from the front desk. Beds were real comfortable. We had a standard room which came with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The lighting and mirrors behind the bed made the room seem larger and brighter. Nice cushioned bench sitting area in front of the window. There wasnt a normal size table with chairs. It was just that window sitting area and a long sofa table type of thing. No chairs though. TV was nice. :) It felt like we were ripping off the hotel because of the special/cheap price we paid thru Expedia. It was a really nice place. Just remember, its an Inn, not a casino hotel. :)Rating:5
Very Nice StayMicro-Hotel in Vegas was quite nice for the price. It was clean, spacious, and well kept. I had a sink, mini-fridge, and microwave in my room which came in handy. There were also a ton of TV channels to choose from. Much much more then the 5 or 6 channels you normally get in a Strip Hotel. 24 hr pool and fitness center for those who like that. Free local calls, and free wireless Internet are also a bonus. Location was quite south, next to the Outlet Mall. Not walkable to the strip. But I think you can get a bus to the strip from the mall next door. Or at least a cab. $10 might get you to South Strip. $20 got me to Center Strip. Cons: The one bad thing was the breakfast buffet. It was absolutely disgusting and I would not recommend it to anyone unless you intend on dying from sugar or cholesterol related diseases. It was like eating breakfast at a 7/11. Definitely skip it (pretend its not included) and go somewhere else.Rating:4
Great Comps!Great customer service during check-in. The clerk was very helpful with directions and offered a coupon for a free bottle of wine with dinner at the restaurant next door. They also gave us a coupon book for a near by casino. The hotel appeared to be new and was very clean, yet pet friendly.Rating:1
Virtually zero sound proofing in walls. This hotel has two good things going for it: A good hot breakfast and very competitive pricing. Other than that, it has no sound insulation in the walls and in my two-day stay, there was a major snorer in the next room. You can hear everything in detail. I felt no privacy and the snoring couldnt let me sleep. One employee at the front desk was rude and dismissive. Overall, I dont recommend this place.Rating:4
Well go backInexpensive non-casino stay off of the strip. Easy access to freeway. The breakfast was pretty good except the the pancakes which were stale and crunchy. Overall a very good option and value.Rating:5
Great place to stayNice rooms, quiet, comfortable, with convenience of refrig. and microwave. Could exercise in morning, eat hot complimentary breakfast with newspaper, and use free Wifi and phone calls. Ill stay here again, even if its for vacation. Close to several restraunts, and just a short drive down the street to the strip. Really great place to stay.Rating:5
great hotel at a great pricefriendly staff, clean bright fun rooms, pool open 24 hours a day, free continental breakfast. Right next to an iconic italian restaurant and the great las vegas outlet.. we will definitly go back.
Travelers tip on saving a few bucksget a coupon at the check in for a free bottle of wine at a great local italian restaurant situated right across the hotel and enjoy a romantic evening with your wife.Rating:1
Walls are paper thin!! You can hear everything stayed 2 time and both was hell for sleepingWe stayed twice, the first time we stayed on the 2 floor and heard the people above us all night. Then in the middle of the night poeple were in the hall talking. The second time we stayed just because we had already had it booked but asked for top(3) floor and it still was horrible for the noise. You can hear everything from the rooms and in the hall way. It is new hotel so its nice but when you want to sleep and you get woke up at all hours.
Travelers tipIts a fine hotel but the paper thin walls suck, stay somewhere else. We wont stay again.Rating:3
It was okThe room was clean but small the a/c didnt work right. Staff not very friendly
Travelers tip on shoppingright across the streetRating:4
Good price & pet friendlyGood place to stay, staff was great, nice rooms. Liked that we were given a room on the first floor next to the exit, made it really convenient to walk the dogs.Rating:3
24 hour indoor pool.Pet Friendly.Rating:5
No luxury but attractive and comfortableNearly new building. Flat screen TV with good choice of channels. Room was not large by Las Vegas standards, but large enough for me traveling alone. Reasonable price for non-casino hotel. The free wi-fi is unusual for Vegas and there are none of the "resort fees". Being located a block off the main street makes it a bit difficult to locate after dark.
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayOther than the outlet mall across the street, there are no attractions within walking distance. This is not a place to stay without your own transportation.Rating:5
Cant wait to go back!It is a bit away from the Las Vegas strip but it only takes about 5 minutes to get to the begining of the strip. I love how it is located to lots of known restraunts and crossing the street is 150 outlet stores including Disney. I will most defenite stay there again. I love that it has an indoor heated pool and work out gym to work off everything you eat while your out in Vegas. The staff is very nice and helpful. The free brekfast is good the standard room we stood in had a microwave, coffe maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and board, flat screen tv, mini kitchen, sofa bed, etc. Just like it says a suite. The most thing i liked was that throughout the hotel it is smoke free!!!
Travelers tip on getting the most out of your stayI highly recomend this hotel for its local entetainment featuring the Las Vegas Outlets of 150 known stores including the Disney store. It is about 5 minutes away from the begining of the strip. Economical priced with a bang for your buck giving you a smoke free hotel suite with a free breakfast buffet. KId friendly and adult piece and quiet!Rating:3
OK but noisythe room was clean and new, but the walls are too thin, i woke up every time somebody enter/exit a room in the hall.Rating:5
Would Definitely Stay at the Microtel Inn & Suites Again!!!our visit was from dec 6-8, 2008...very clean...very comfortable...away from strip and quiet...less than a mile from airport car rentals...plenty of parking...take advantage of delicious breakfast buffet...walking distance to factory outlets...great bang for your buck!!Rating:4
Top Rate HotelWe were extremely pleased with this hotel. It was not too far from the strip but yet still maintained a quite, safe environment. The rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast had plenty of choices. We got our moneys worth and more!
